Alchemystics.org is a Meta Zen project. Meta Zen is a multimedia artist (Mauricio Zuniga). Mauricio was born in Costa Rica in 1977 and started his journey in the arts by DJing in 1996. Since then, he has become an avid DJ, dancer, event producer, visual artist, photographer, web developer, technological programmer, poet, and jeweler. He now resides in Portland, Oregon.
Before Meta Zen, Mauricio owned and built ChaosExistence.com, an online record shop that brought some of the best psychedelic electronic music to the Pacific Northwest for six years. He has also contributed to the community by throwing events and bringing world-class talent to the PNW.
Mauricio has been collecting minerals and making art since childhood, and Alchemystics.org is his way of sharing his passion for minerals and art with the world. He vends and trades with friends in Portland and has now taken his humble gallery of collaborations online, allowing friends near and far to order from his collection.
